Bayhealth is delivering on its commitment to expand access to primary care for Delawareans by welcoming six new physicians and a physician assistant, and all are accepting new patients. This exciting development is part of The Next Wave of Primary Care, a Bayhealth initiative aimed at helping central and southern Delaware community members find a primary care doctor locally.
In Dover, Mackenzie Bredbenner, MD joined Bayhealth Family Medicine. Geeta Jumari MD, Austin Lonski, DO, Lefteria Mealy, PA-C, and Kristine Morales DO have joined the Bayhealth Primary Care team at Blue Hen. At Bayhealth Primary Care in Harrington, Shivani Dogne, MD will see new patients and at Bayhealth Primary Care in Frederica, patients can see Erika Gutierrez Ramierez, MD.
Having trusted primary care close to home helps you stay on top of your health though every stage of life. Through regular visits and preventative care, primary care clinicians can help find health problems early when they may be easier to treat. They can also help you manage ongoing health conditions and connect you with specialists when needed. Many of these new clinicians see patients of all ages and some offer gynecologic care alongside routine services, making care more accessible and coordinated.
Through the Next Wave of Primary Care initiative, Bayhealth is also making it easier to book your primary care appointment. With online scheduling through MyChart at Bayhealth.org/MyChart or on the MyChart app, patients simply select their preferred location and clinician and choose an upcoming appointment time.
