All community members are invited to attend the Bayhealth Community Wellness Fair on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bayhealth Conference Center at Blue Hen located at 665 Bay Rd., Unit A, Dover, DE. This is a free, family-friendly event where neighbors can get health screenings, get information and resources to stay healthy, explore job opportunities and enjoy fun giveaways — all in one welcoming place.
Designed to support overall health and wellness for our community, this annual event brings essential services and resources together in one place to benefit all ages, including free blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol checks and more. There will also be free resources, supplies and giveaways, Food Bank mobile food distribution from 10 AM to Noon along with activities for children.
Information on job opportunities and the chance to chat with the Bayhealth recruitment team in a casual setting will also be part of the event. Local partners will be available to chat about wellness, housing and other needs in the community.
The Bayhealth Community Wellness Fair is open to everyone, with a special focus on individuals and families who are uninsured, underinsured or facing barriers to care. Bilingual staff will be available to assist our Spanish and Haitian-speaking neighbors.
“We’re thrilled to be continuing our Bayhealth Community Wellness Fair which was such a successful event last year in connecting hundreds of community members to the resources they need to stay healthy and thrive,” said Bayhealth Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Community Outreach Amanda Bowie, MSM.
“This event represents Bayhealth’s strong commitment to providing the health services that are so vital to our community and fostering whole-person care at every age. It also helps strengthen the ties with local healthcare professionals and community partners that can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives right here in Kent and Sussex counties.”
Event participants will have the chance to be entered into a raffle for a $250 gift card and another raffle for kids bikes. There is no cost to attend the fair and no insurance is required. Plenty of onsite parking will be available. Registration is encouraged – visit Bayhealth.org/Fair to register today.
