The Delaware Diabetes Coalition will host the 24th Annual Delaware Diabetes Wellness Expo on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at its new location—Memorial Hall at the Delaware State Fairgrounds, 18500 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, Delaware. The event is free and open to the public.
Held each November in recognition of National Diabetes Month, the Expo brings together healthcare providers, community organizations, businesses, and diabetes-related resources to promote diabetes self-management and healthier living. Attendees will have access to educational sessions, health screenings, exhibitors, giveaways, and practical resources for preventing and managing diabetes.
The event will include educational breakout sessions with topics that will include updates on diabetes guidelines and coverage; resources available through the YMCA Wellness Exchange; healthy coping with diabetes distress; diabetes education and rural wellness initiatives along with access to eye care.
A diabetes-friendly cooking demonstration sponsored by the American Diabetes Association along with blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, foot exams, and other wellness services.
There will be remarks from Delaware health leaders, an overview of the Delaware Diabetes Coalition, recognition of a DDC scholarship recipient, and presentation of the Tina M. Trout Leadership Award. A free pop-up produce market will be available provided by the Food Bank of Delaware. Boxed lunches, prepared by the Food Bank of Delaware with treats provided by River Kitchen Company and She Rices. Proceeds benefit the Food Bank Culinary School.
Complimentary lunches will be available to the first 350 people who arrive at the Expo. This total includes attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and volunteers. Pre-registration does not reserve or guarantee a lunch.
