The City of Milford announced that the deadline to apply for Senior Tax Credits is May 29, 2026. Senior tax credits are available to those who meet certain requirements.
In order to be eligible for the credit, at least one property owner must be 65 before October 1, 2026, and must have lived at the property for at least one year prior to October 1, 2026. Income limits are $20,000 for individuals or $40,000 for joint owners. Social Security and qualifying government retirement benefits are not included in income eligibility.
A copy of the property owner’s IRS Form 1040 once filed is necessary to quality. To apply for the credit, visit the Customer Service Office, 119 South Walnut Street, Milford. For more information, call 302-422-6166 or learn more online.
