Delaware State Police are investigating another shooting incident in the area, marking the third in the past month.
On January 18 around 1:20 AM, troopers responded to the 18000 block of Sharon’s Road in Ellendale for a report of shots fired. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown subject fired multiple shots that struck a residence and two vehicles. Two adults and two children were in the home at the time of the incident, but there were no injuries. There were no occupants in the vehicles.
On December 21, at approximately 6 AM, troopers responded to a residence in the 30000 block of Fisher Road following reports of gunfire. A resident in that home heard something striking his home and, once troopers arrived, bullet holes were discovered in the front of the residence which caused damage inside. Two adults and two children were inside the residence and there were no injuries.
In mid-December, a similar incident occurred in the 20000 block of Fleatown Road in Lincoln. Residents reported hearing gunshots in front of their homes, but no damage occurred to any residence.
Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate these incidents. Detectives ask anyone who has relevant information to contact Detective R.
