Milford Police Department are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on Monday, January 19 around 6:30 AM on Rehoboth Boulevard.
According to police, a 2024 BMW X3 was traveling northbound on North Rehoboth Boulevard near Perdue Farms when an 81-year-old female entered the northbound travel lane, causing the vehicle to strike her. The 75-year-old driver of the BMW was not injured.
Police and EMS responded to the scene and began life saving measures. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name is being withheld pending notification of family.
North Rehoboth Boulevard was closed for approximately two and a half hours during the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. G. Smith at 302-422-8081.
