The Milford Moose Lodge is mourning the loss of Robert D. “Bob” Young who passed away on January 6 at the age of 71.
Born in Milford on July 8, 1954, Bob was the son of Robert L and Barbara Young. He graduated from Milford High School in 1972.
After high school, Bob started his own trucking service called Bob Young’s Trucking, owning and operating the business for many years. It was something he was passionate about and loved doing. He also worked for Willard Agri-Service out of Greenwood for 20 years.
As a member of the Moose Lodge, Bob loved shooting pool with friends. He also collected antique tractors and antique chainsaws. He was a NASCAR fan, especially watching Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara; his daughter, Jennifer Warrington and her husband, Fred; his grandchildren, Brie Hagen and her fiancé, Allen; Cohen Hagen and his partner, Judy; and Madison Harmon. His great-granddaughter, Magnolia Hagen, survives him as well. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy Young and Susan Savage along with nieces, Amy Rucinski and Laura Savage.
In addition to his family, Bob is survived by many friends and neighbors whom he loved and cared for.
A celebration of life is planned of Saturday, January 24 at 1 PM at the Milford Moose Lodge. In lieu of flowers, consider making a charitable donation to the Milford Moose Lodge.
