Rick shared 42 years with his wife, Lisa, and was a devoted family man. He was a loving father and grandfather. The accomplishments of his children and grandchildren brought him great joy and he cherished the time he spent with them. Rick loved riding his motorcycle with Lisa, building and fixing projects around the house and watching the latest movies with his children.
Rick enthusiastically supported his grandson’s football and baseball sprots journey and his granddaughter’s All-Star cheerleading journey. He also enjoyed rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles with his family.
An avid motorcyclist, Rick was the former Vice-President of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club where he formed lasting bonds and exemplified the values of unity, respect and service.
“Going to miss you so much, Ricky, I still can’t believe you are gone,” Suzanne Greaves posted on his memorial wall. “My heart is still broken. I had such a beautiful childhood with you, Shell and Barry growing up between Boston, New York and Barbados. Your parents would bring you and Shell to. Boston, mine would bring us to New York and then we’d all meet up and fly to Barbados for our summers and Christmas breaks together. Thanks for all those memories, Ricky, they are a gift I will carry forever. Rest in peace, my dear cousin.”
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Ramsigh remembered Rick as a kind and friendly neighbor. Danny Ranger remembered Rick from the police academy in 1990.
“Humphrey will be sadly missed by all who were blessed enough to know or work with him,” Bill Phillips posted. “Working with him was always fun because he was always smiling, laughing and making everyone laugh. It was and is an honor to say I worked with such a good man. God be with you, my brother. Rest in peace.”
