The Milford Public Library will present a new podcast that will focus on the history of Delaware.
“With the title of Downtown Delaware: Crossroads of American History,” this new initiative will feature lively discussions about numerous historical and cultural events, locations and traditions that can be found in the downstate region of the First State,” Tom Summers, one of the team members on the project said.
The team consists of Summers, Russ McCabe, Mike DiPaolo along wit Ally Adams who serves as videographer and producer of the project.
“After watching the pilot episode, I could see the excitement this group has for the history of Downstate Delaware, and I was thrilled when they brought the idea to me about having the Milford Library serve as the sponsor,” Lea Rosell, Executive Director of the Milford Public Library said.
McCabe is excited for the project as well.
“This is a whole new adventure for all of us but we’re all very passionate about the rich history of the downstate area,” McCabe said. “I hope that comes out in our discussions. I am really looking forward to it.”
Summers recently retired as the Executive Director of the Milford Museum.
The podcast will run two new episodes each month. While the main hub for the podcast will be on YouTube, it can also be found on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and, starting later this month, iHeartRadio.
