The annual Ellendale Fun Day is planned for Saturday, August 15 from 10 AM to 2 PM. The event will take place in the town park and town hall areas.
DJ Paige Howell will spin tunes and there will be a Kidz-Zone with free activities for children. Food vendors at the event include Lauretta Fluitt Southern Cooked BBQ, Gladys Gardner Breakfast Sandwiches and hotdogs, Ellendale Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary Bake Sale, Traci-s Sno-cones and Treats, Na-Na’s Organic Cotton Candy, Delmarva Popcorn and Coneheads Ice Cream.
A free backpack giveaway with school supplies and free raffles with toys donated by Paige’s Kindness Project are also part of the celebration. The Decorate A Treat and Bubble Station will return from last year as these were extremely popular.
DelDOT will offer bike and pedestrian safety station with information and free giveaways. Delaware Readiness will provide each child with a free book. Beebe Mobile Health Unit, the Crimestoppers Activity Trailer and DE State Police Helicopter will be there with the helicopter arriving at noon.
