The City of Milford announced that the September 26 special election to fill the seat for Ward 3 that has been vacant since May has been cancelled. The deadline to register was September 3.
According to a city notice, Joan D. King was the only candidate to submit a nominating petition for the seat. Since there is only one candidate, King will assume office without a formal election and will be sworn in on October 5, 2026.
