Abbott’s Mill will hold their annual Native Plant Sale on Saturday, May 2 from 9 AM to Noon. The sale is designed to promote the addition of plants native to the area to promote pollinators while also supporting Delaware Nature Society.
The plants are chosen for a variety of growing conditions that help gardeners create outdoor spaces for water and wildlife. A variety of plants that create visual interest while providing food and shelter or wildlife will be available.
Actual pricing depends on many variables and can often change up until the last minute. Most herbaceous plants, which are flowers, grasses and ferns, range from $12 to $17. Most shrubs and trees range from $25 to $50. All sales are final.
Buying native plants helps wildlife by fulfilling essential needs. All proceeds of the sale benefit Delaware Nature Society whose mission is to improve the environment through education, conservation and advocacy.
