Two students from the Milford School District have been recognized among the state’s top seniors, earning distinction as 2026 Delaware Secretary of Education Scholars.
Madison Stahl and Kenny Ung, both seniors at Milford High School, were selected for the honor, which is awarded annually by the Delaware Department of Education. The recognition highlights students chosen by their principals for outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service to their communities.

Stahl, daughter of Christopher and Kerry Stahl of Milford, is ranked first in her class with a 4.81 grade point average. A three-sport varsity athlete, she has also completed the school’s visual arts pathway and contributed significant volunteer hours through organizations including the National Honor Society. Stahl plans to attend Smith College in the fall, where she intends to study pre-law.

Ung, son of Johnny Ung and Minh Ha Nguyen, is ranked second in his class with a 4.79 grade point average. He has completed the certified nursing assistant dual enrollment pathway and serves as an officer in student government, Interact, and the National Honor Society. Ung has logged more than 100 volunteer hours this year and plans to pursue a double major in neuroscience and philosophy at the university level.
The Delaware Secretary of Education Scholars program recognizes students across the state for their academic excellence, strong work ethic, and commitment to service.
