Delaware Hospice has announced that their popular event, Festival of Trees, will return to Milford this holiday season. The Delaware Hospice Center, located at 100 Patriots Way, will entertain visitors to the festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 21 through 23. Friday and Sunday, the event runs from Noon to 4 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
“This is a free event allowing visitors to view the breathtaking display of decorated trees and wreaths, each a testament to the creativity and holiday spirit of our supporters,” Charles McDonough, CEO of Delaware Hospice, said. “Among the most touching features of the Festival of Trees is a special Remembrance Tree. Every ornament on this deeply moving tree is a touching tribute to a loved one who is no longer with us. Purchased by generous donors, each one carries a heartfelt message.”
This is the 38th year for the Festival of Trees and is considered the start of the holiday season for many families, friends and communities throughout the Milford area. In addition to the beautiful tree display, visitors can purchase gift items at the holiday marketplace and enjoy the bake shop with delicious treats, McDonough said.
“This is an enchanting wonderland where holiday magic comes to life through beautiful décor and festive music,” McDonough said. “Not only do visitors to the event enjoy a holiday wonderland, but they are also supporting Delaware Hospice’s mission of providing care and comfort to those who need it most. Proceeds from the holiday marketplace and bake shops directly benefit Delaware Hospice programs and services.
