Milford School District will once again provide “food that’s in when school is out,” the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). This program provides healthy meals and snacks to children during the summer break.
“This is a federally funded program operated by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is managed locally by the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE),” Trish Gerken, Public Information Officer, said. “The goal of the SFSP is to ensure children receive the nutrition they need to continue to grow, learn and play throughout the summer months.”
The SFSP runs from June 30, 2025, until August 1, 2025. All locations are closed on July 4. The program is free to all children 18 and under and there are no enrollment requirements.
