The Delaware Department of Elections (DOE) reminds eligible Delaware residents who are not yet registered to vote in Delaware and who wish to vote in the November 3, 2026, General Election that they must register to vote on or before Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM in order to vote in the General Election.
Delaware residents are eligible to register if they are are a citizen of the United States; and are a resident of Delaware; and will be 18 years old on or before the date of the next General Election, November 3, 2026. In addition, they must not currently be serving a sentence for a felony conviction; and have not been convicted of a disqualifying felony (unless pardoned); and have not been found by a Court to be mentally incompetent to vote.

Eligible Delaware residents have a variety of options to register to vote by Saturday, October 10th. Register to vote online or by downloading and printing a form from the Department of Elections website. If downloading the form, be sure that it is filled out, signed and submitted to the Department of Elections. Completed voter registration applicants for new registrants must be postmarked by Saturday, October 10, 2026 in order to meet the registration deadline.
Register in person at a Department of Elections office during regular business hours which are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM an on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Those registering in person must bring a form of ID which may be a Delaware Driver’s License or State ID card or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document that shows their name and address.
