The University of Delaware’s fourth annual 302 Tour will return June 11-13, bringing Blue Hen student-athletes, coaches and staff members to communities across Delaware for three days of activities, community engagement and fan events.
The statewide tour is designed to connect Delaware Athletics with alumni, fans and residents through a series of free and ticketed events in all three counties.
The tour begins Thursday, June 11, with a Pool Party and Field Day on the University of Delaware campus in Newark. From 6 to 8 p.m., participants will have free access to the university’s outdoor pool and can take part in field activities alongside Blue Hen student-athletes and coaches. Snacks and giveaways will be provided, and organizers are asking attendees to RSVP in advance.
On Friday, June 12, the tour moves to central and southern Delaware with several public appearances.
The first stop will be a lunch gathering at Buffalo Wild Wings on South Bay Road in Dover from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Fans will have an opportunity to meet student-athletes, coaches and university staff while enjoying lunch.
Later that afternoon, the tour heads to Killens Pond State Park near Felton from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Attendees can participate in a variety of outdoor activities, including paddleboarding, guided nature walks and a reptile and amphibian presentation. Visitors will also have access to the park’s swimming area. The event is free, though registration is requested.
The day concludes in Rehoboth Beach with a visit to Funland from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Blue Hen athletes and coaches will join community members for rides, games and activities along the boardwalk. Organizers say the event is designed to provide a fun, family-friendly opportunity for fans to interact with members of the university’s athletic programs.
The tour wraps up Saturday, June 13, with two events in Sussex County.
The morning begins with the Chicken Chase 5K and 1-Mile Walk in Dewey Beach from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Participants will be greeted by YouDee, Baby Blue, student-athletes and coaches, who will cheer runners and walkers across the finish line. Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt and finisher medal, and the event will conclude with a post-race celebration at The Starboard.
The final stop of the 2026 302 Tour will be a reception at Grain on the Rocks in Lewes from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will bring together student-athletes, coaches, alumni and community members for an evening of food, music and conversation.
University officials say the annual tour continues to grow as a way to strengthen connections between Delaware Athletics and communities throughout the state while providing opportunities for residents to meet the athletes and coaches who represent the Blue Hens.
