Milford Police Department has released the name of the victim in a in a fatal one-vehicle crash they are still investigating. The crash occurred on North Street near Northwest 4th Street at around 7 AM on March 26.
According to reports, a 2012 Jeep Liberty was travelling northbound on North Street just north of Northwest 4th Street. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck a parked vehicle before leaving the roadway and striking a utility pole. After impact, the Jeep caught fire, but the sole occupant was pulled from the vehicle by officers who had arrived at the scene.
Police and EMS began life-saving measures on the 32-year-old male operator who was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Milford Police Department identified 32-year-old Tyler Wilson of Milford, Delaware, as the victim.
North Street between Northwest 4th Street Extended was closed for approximately 2.5 hours while the crash was investigated and the electrical pole repaired.
