Milford Public Library has begun demolition as part of their Centennial Transformation Project, but that does not mean programs will cease while the library gets a brand-new look. Patrons will now enter and exit through the portico doors and activities will be confined to the Lions meeting rooms. During renovation, registration will be required for all programs at the library.
Chair Yoga will continue every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:15 PM, providing enhanced flexibility, concentration, balance and strength while also boosting mood, reducing stress and alleviating joint strain. Each class must be registered for individually. Weekly story time for children will also continue on Thursdays at 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM. IMAZINE will also continue every Thursday in August at 1 PM.
Toddler Time will continue on Tuesday, August 4 at 10:30 AM.
On Wednesday, August 5, Children can make a pin banner for collectibles. They will design and cut a banner cloth in their own style to decorate by sewing in loops. Sewing machines will be available with the help of Ms. Maddy. All supplies will be provided.
At 2 PM, teens can come chill as they “Paws” and relax with Courageous Hearts. Learn simple breathing tricks, ways to stress less and real-life tools to handle whatever life throws at you.
That evening, the Music School of Delaware will celebrate the close of the Music in the Park season with a special performance by faculty at the school. The concert begins at 7 PM with Le Pain a Deux, a violin duo featuring Dr. Ian Jett and Genia Maslov. Following a brief intermission, enjoy a jazz performance by Maria Rusu and Michael Raitzyk.
On Thursday, August 6, teens can create their very own crystals using Borax and water. Create a shape using a wire and dip the creation into a solution. After 24 hours, crystals will appear on thew ire. All material will be provided.
As a reminder, if you cannot attend a program, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance so the spot can be offered to someone on the waitlist. Missing two programs without notice may result in a temporary suspension of registration privileges.
