Felton Police Department arrested a Salisbury woman in connection with a robbery that occurred in June.
On Saturday, June 13 at approximately 12:10 PM, offers were called to Honeybrook Lane for a reported assault.
The investigation determined that a 36-year-old male was inside his residence when a 27-year-old female allegedly struck him in the face, took his cell phone and fled the residence. As the suspect fled through the backyard, she also allegedly damaged a wooden fence, causing property damage.
Through investigative measures, police learned that the woman was Lymyia Tratayshia Williams of Salisbury, Maryland. Williams left the area prior to the arrival of police and warrants were issued for her arrest.
On Saturday, June 27, at approximately 9 AM, Delaware State Police located Williams at the Rodney Village Shopping Center. They learned she had a warrant from Felton, and she was taken into custody without incident. Williams also had an active capias warrant issued by the Justice of the Peace for an unrelated traffic matter. She was turned over to the Felton Police Department.
Williams was transported to Felton where she was charged with robbery second degree – preventing or overcoming resistance to the taking of property; offensive touching; and criminal mischief.
She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on $2,200 unsecured bail pending a future court appearance.
