ChristianaCare recently welcomed Jennifer Willey, FNP-C to their Milford office. Willey comes to them from Pointe Primary Care, which was owned for many years by the late Dr. Charles Wagner.
Willey is a dedicated and patient-focused board-certified advanced clinician with nearly 20 years of direct patient care experience. Her current role is as a primary care nurse practitioner, providing personalized care for adults of all ages.
Willey earned her master in nursing from Wilmington University in Georgetown, earning her family nurse practitioner license. She also studied nursing at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. She has served as a primary care nurse practitioner, emergency department registered nurse, infusion nurse and medical surgical/orthopedic registered nurse at ChristianaCare.
In addition to Willey’s departure from Pointe Primary Care whose office is currently in Lewes but was previously in Milton, Dr. Jennifer Shade, AGNP, transitioned to Atlantic Family Physicians while Dr. Brian Prigg, PA-C, announced he would retire as of February 28, 2025.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Prigg for his years of dedication and service to both the practice and the community,” Erica Heisel, PhD, MBA, Practice Administrator, said. “We also wish Dr. Shade and Dr. Willey the best in their future endeavors.”
Currently residing in Delaware, Willey is excited to grow her career at ChristianaCare. She can be reached at 302-725-3420. Patients who saw Willey at Pointe Primary Care can transfer their records to ChristianaCare.
“While we would love to continue serving all our patients, our current staffing levels may require patients to transition to new providers,” Heisel said. “To assist during this time, patients transitioning will continue to have prescriptions renewed for up to six months or they can secure a new provider, whichever is first. For prescription refills, please have your pharmacist submit them electronically or leave a message on the prescription line.”
Pointe Primary Care did announce the addition of Dr. Abhi Freyer who will initially only see Medicare and Medicaid patients until credentialing. Once that is finalized, he will be able to see other patients.
