Dawn Tomczak, who registered to run against sitting Councilwoman Katrina Wilson for Ward 4, has announced she is withdrawing from the race for personal reasons. According to Tomczak, she has not been in Milford lately in order to help with grandchildren due to family matters she did not want to disclose publicly.
“Since my focus wouldn’t be on anything in Milford for the foreseeable future, I thought it would be best to pull my name from the ballot,” Tomczak said.
It is unclear if it is too close to the election for her name to be removed as the election is planned for Saturday, April 25 from 10 AM until 6 PM. The elections will be held at the Public Works building at 180 Vickers Drive, Milford. If it is not possible to remove her name and it appears on the ballot, Tomczak will not accept the position if she is elected.
