The vendor deadline for the Bug and Bud Festival, which will be held Saturday, April 25 from 9 AM to 4 PM, is Sunday, March 15. Downtown Milford Inc. announced that there will be no extension to the deadline so that they can create a vendor layout.
“We want to have as many vendors as possible, but we have to set a strict deadline,” Downtown Milford Coordinator Sade Truiett said. “In the past, we have allowed last minute additions to the vendor list, and it has caused problems the day of the festival. Anyone who wants to be a vendor at the festival should complete the form no later than Sunday, March 15 at midnight.”
The event is the first festival of the year in Milford and celebrates spring. The name of the festival gives homage to Arbor Day and the ladybug, which is the Delaware State bug.
“The ladybug was named the state bug after a group of second graders at Lulu Ross Elementary School reached out to state legislators,” Truiett said. “They were successful and now the ladybug has become synonymous with Milford.”
Vendors who have submitted applications will receive information via email regarding space assignment, vendor rules and parking locations by April 15.
“The information will be sent via email, so we ask that all vendors who have applied check their SPAM folder and open any attachments sent from Downtown Milford Inc.,” Truiett said. “We have established a new email for vendor notifications so that it is more recognizable when it appears in your inbox, so look for one from [email protected].”
Vendor applications can be completed online. Downtown Milford Inc. is still accepting sponsorships as well. The deadline for sponsors to be acknowledged on printed materials is also March 15. A sponsorship form can also be found online.
