Milford School District announced that the new head coach for Varsity Girls’ Soccer would be Scott Myers. According to the district, Myers has a lifelong connection to the sport.
A graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Myers served as team captain and earned All-Conference honors during his senior season in 2003. He continued his playing career at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, where he gained valuable collegiate-level experience and expanded his knowledge of the game.
In addition to his experience as a player, Myers has coached for 15 years and comes from a coaching family, immersed in soccer since birth, Myers developed a deep passion for the game and an understanding of the fundamentals at an early age.
Myers has worked extensively with varsity-level student athletes, helping build competitive, disciplined and positive program cultures. He also gives back to the sport through his work with Delaware Futball Academy and by serving on the DIAA Boys and Girls Soccer Committees. As a teacher at Milford High School, Myers is also able to mentor and support student athletics academically as well as athletically.
Committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes through a team-first culture centered on accountability, effort and character, Myers values multi-sport participation and believes in long-term player development while fostering pride in the Milford community. He is excited to lead Milford Girls’ Soccer into its next chapter and looks forward to building a program that competes with confidence and represents Milford with pride and integrity.
