Last year, Downtown Milford Inc. took over the display signs at the corner of Front Street and North Walnut Street. After having the signs refurbished, the Board of Directors decided the displays would best be served by allowing non-profit organizations in town to advertise their events.
“We know it can be difficult for non-profits to get the word out about their events to a large number of people,” Sade Truiett, Downtown Milford Coordinator, said. “We thought this would be a great way for more people to see what is happening in Milford since the signs are at a very busy intersection.”
Any non-profit that would like signage placed in the Front Street display should send a high-quality version of the flyer for the event to [email protected]. The flyer will need to be enlarged to approximately 28×19, which is why the quality must be higher. Please send the flyer in PDF format and, if using Canva, choose the PDF print option when downloading.
“The posters need to get to us at least three weeks to a month before the event as we need to get them printed,” Truiett said. “Downtown Milford Inc. covers the cost of printing, but we need time to get it to our printer.”
In addition to sizing, posters should have print large enough that the sign can be read quickly as cars drive by.
