
Bayhealth Medical Group has announced the addition of several new primary care providers, further strengthening access to expert, compassionate care in Kent County. The growing team now includes board-certified internal medicine physicians Dr. John Marlon B. Lintan and Dr. Michael G. Sweeney, family medicine physician Dr. Jennifer Tetzner, and family nurse practitioner Kenneth Virata, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC.

“These new providers bring advanced training and a commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to the communities Bayhealth serves,” the organization said in a statement.
Dr. John Marlon B. Lintan joins Bayhealth as an internal medicine physician with a focus on preventive health and holistic wellness.
“I’m passionate about bringing compassion and a holistic approach to prevention, wellness, and strengthening the health of our community,” Lintan said.
Before earning his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery in the Philippines, Lintan practiced as a licensed physical therapist. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Michael G. Sweeney is well known in the Dover area, having cared for patients in private practice for more than 30 years. The board-certified internist values the personal nature of medicine.
“I thrive on the personal connection of a face-to-face visit and genuinely listening to my patients to uncover the root of their ailments and find the best path to wellness,” he said.

Sweeney attended Georgetown University for his medical education and completed his residency at the U.S. Air Force Medical Center at Keesler.
Dr. Jennifer Tetzner, DO, a board-certified family medicine physician, is dedicated to caring for patients of all ages and fostering long-term relationships built on trust.
“Listening and building strong relationships are essential parts of helping patients feel better,” Tetzner explained. She earned her medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at Crozer Health in Pennsylvania.

Kenneth Virata, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, joins Bayhealth Primary Care, Dover West, as a board-certified family nurse practitioner providing comprehensive care for patients across the lifespan. Virata earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University in 2025 and completed its Family Nurse Practitioner program. He previously worked as a registered nurse with Bayhealth, where he developed a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
