During the finance report at a Milford City Council meeting, Finance Director Lou Vitola reported that collections of past due accounts were up, commending the finance department. Councilman Dan Marabello questioned responses from the auditor.
“On the completion and submitting to ZA for the 24 audit, how long do you think it will take for them to go through digesting it and coming back to you,” Marabello asked. “Assuming all the information has been given them.”
Vitola stated that the requests were thorough and there were questions.
“We responded to those as quickly as possible. It was about a business week, maybe five business days to go through all the questions and answers, but they’ve got them back now,” Vitola said.”I wish I could estimate how long it’ll take them to get through that and start producing the draft financials and scheduling testing and things.
