The City of Milford reminds everyone that Trick or Treat is Friday, October 31 from 6 to 8 PM. Drivers are reminded that children will be crossing roads and walking in areas that may not have sidewalks during those hours.
Children who are trick or treating should be in costume and refrain from acts of vandalism or destruction. They are also only to go to the door of homes that have outside or porch lights on. Children should wear costumes with reflective additions or carry flashlights as well.
Motorists should drive slowly through town that evening as small children can be unpredictable and may dart into roadways unexpectedly.
“I know that Councilman Marabello’s development is very popular with trick or treaters,” Mayor Todd Culotta said as he reminded council at a recent meeting that the event was coming up. “Milford Ponds is another development that is growing in popularity.”
Parents who do not want their children trick or treating in town can take advantage of trunk or treats in the area. Milford First Baptist Church, located at 6062 Old Shawnee Road, will hold Trunk or Treat in their parking lot from 4 to 6 PM. Carlisle Fire Company will also hold a Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 PM. The fire company is located at 615 NW Front Street.
