

Although the Milford Buccaneers were not successful in bringing the bell back to Milford on Friday night, homecoming week was a success for Milford High School. The Bucs lost the Battle of the Bell with a score of 42-14.
All week, schools celebrated Spirit Week with days like Wacky Tacky Day, Flannel Day, Throwback Day and more with all schools ending the week with Spirit Day. Students and staff filled classrooms with school colors on that day.
On Friday night, the Homecoming Parade made its way through town with floats created by each class and several organizations at the school. The parade ended at Brigg’s Stadium for the football game.
During halftime, the Homecoming Court Top 10 was presented. The students who made up the court included queen candidates Ameiah Bruce, HOSA; Isabel Betts, Lacrosse; Lucy Chorman, FFA; Madison Webb, Volleyball; Markeyah Lee, Soccer; Merary Haro-Purata, SGA; Miriam Carranza, Student Voice; Rihanna Adams, Softball; Samantha Altidor, Band; and Sammy Hudson, Indoor Track & Field.
The king candidates for this year were Avery Richard, Drama; Carson Fruehauf, Lacrosse;Â Davonne Dallas, Wrestling; Jacob Dickerson, Basketball; James Sollie, Soccer; Jayden Sylvester, Football; Kasier Seward, Class of 2026; Kenny Ung, Interact Club; Matthew Yerkes, Golf; and Nathan Hague, Student Government.
The King and Queen were Jayden Sylvester and Miriam Carranza. The Homecoming Dance was held on Saturday at the high school.
