Pub Crawl returns to Milford

Crawlers at last year’s Downtown Milford St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl

The popular Downtown Milford St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl will return this year on Saturday, March 15. The crawl begins at 7 with many businesses in Milford offering food, drink and entertainment specials. A shuttle will also run between Mispillion River Brewing, EasySpeak, Arena’s and Big Oyster Brewing.

“Arena’s will be having drink and food specials, but we will also be featuring Party Fowl playing from around 7 PM to midnight in our new stage,” Ramsey Schrader said. “Buses will begin around 8 PM to carry crawlers to the other bars who are running their own specials.”

There is no cost to participate with Schrader saying that people should just join the fun with a festive spirit. During the crawl, participants can also register to win “Pots of Gold” along the crawl.

EasySpeak will have a DJ with drink and food specials while Mispillion River Brewing will have Uncle Bernie’s Steak Shack available from 5 to 9 PM and The Mad Dabbers Band starting at 8 PM.

“We won’t have to worry about adding food coloring to make our beer green,” Mispillion Brewing’s social media read. “War Llama is already green.”

Shepherd’s pie along with bangers & mash are on the menu at fondue this weekend along with drink specials. Cured Plate will also offer specials this weekend and feature their March drink, the Going Green-Tini.

“Leprechaun liquids never looked nor tasted so good, now we know why the Irish are so lucky,” they announced. “The cocktail tastes just like a certain Girl Scout cookie just with some espresso. If you’ll eat the whole box, like some of us, you’ll guzzle these beauties down.”

Big Oyster added their Shamrock Dreamcicle to the menu this week and will be selling newly created Shuckin’ lucky t-shirts, just in time for the crawl. LaHacienda and Park Place will be offering food and drink specials as well.

“Chris Fitzgerald told me there would be bagpipes running around,” Schrader said. Fitzgerald, who owns Milford Tavern, is normally attired in his Irish kilt during the crawl as well.
