Four Milford City Council members were sworn in on Monday, May 6. All four ran unopposed which meant no election this year. Dan Marabello will again represent the First Ward, Nadiz Zychal will represent Ward 2 and Jason James will represent Ward 4.
The only new face on council is Danny Perez who will represent Ward 3. Perez lost his bid for the seat now held by Michael Stewart in 2024, but was not opposed in this election, giving him his new seat on council.
All four were sworn in by the Honorable Noel Eason Primos, Judge of the Superior Court. City Clerk Katrina Wilson read the election results which were certified by the Department of Elections and overseen by the Board of Elections, Karen Boone, Carlene Wilson and Donna Merchant.

Jason James was appointed Vice-Mayor. David Rutt requested at a previous meeting that he not be appointed solicitor, but would accept the position as an interim until the city could find a new lawyer. Rutt was temporarily appointed until new counsel could be established.
Mayor Todd Culotta appointed committees and chairpersons for the upcoming year. The Economic Development and Code Enforcement Committee will be led by Madula Kalesis with Lori Connor, Marabello and Perez serving on the committee.
The Finance and Audit Committee will be led by James with Connor, Marabello and Perez serving on the committee.
The Charter Review Subcommittee will also be led by James with Katrina Wilson, Marabello and Zychal serving.

Wilson will serve as chair and the sole committee member for the Milford Community Cemetery. She will also serve as chair of the Public Safety Committee along with Michael Stewart, Connor and James.
Public Works and Utilities will be led by Kalesis with Connor, Perez and Zychal serving while the Annexation Committee will be led by Wilson with Marabello, Stewart and Zychal serving.
All four council people will serve a two-year term. Connor, Kalesis, Stewart and Wilson are up for reelection next year.
