Milford field hockey played a very tough regular season schedule this year. While they only finished with an 8-7 regular season, it was still enough to garner the sixth seed in the eight team DIAA Division I Field Hockey Tournament. Looking back on the season, Milford had multiple chances against quality opponents to get statement wins but didn’t.
As a result of gaining a spot in the playoffs, Milford will travel to Tatnall in Wilmington, where they will face off against third seed Padua. Coach Andrea McPike is trying to get her team to shake off a disappointing end to the season as they ready for the tournament.
“We are looking forward to the opportunity. Right now, we are preparing ourselves for Friday’s game against a very tough opponent.” McPike continued “We are looking to play with confidence and stay connected for a full 60 minutes! The team is happy about making the tournament, but we really want to show we belong.”
Start time for the game is 2:30 this Friday at The Tatnall School .
