Jennie Watkins of Houston passed away suddenly at Kent General Hospital on April 12. She was 43.
Jennie was born in Milford, the daughter of Juanita “Nita” Nailor and Ricky Watkins, Sr. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and had a true passion for baking as well as decorating cakes. For many years, she specialized in baking cakes for birthdays of her beloved children, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her baking skills, Jennie sold Mary Kay cosmetics for a short period.
Jennie is survived by her children Shane Michael Mumford, Jr., Caleb Matthew Mumford, Haylie Irene Mumford and Cameron Pazdalski. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Asher Diaz and Zoey Mumford. Her brothers, Ricky C. Watkins, Jr. and Jimmy “Boop” Watkins along with a sister, Gail Malago, also mourn her. She will be missed by many other family members as well.
A viewing will be held April 20, 2026, from 11 AM to 12 Noon at Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue in Milford. A funeral service will be held at noon with burial at Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
