One of the most anticipated holiday events in Milford, the Holiday Stroll, will take place Saturday, December 5 from 3 to 8 PM. This is the 19th anniversary for the stroll which is organized by Downtown Milford Inc.
“This year, our theme is “Home for the Holidays,” so downtown will look just like a Christmas Hallmark movie,” Sade Truiett, Executive Director for Downtown Milford Inc. said. “Our chair people this year are Martha Gery and Michele Webb who have some really great ideas for this year.”
The live nativity will return thanks to the Milford Church of God and the assistance of Representative Bryan Shupe who spearheaded its return. There will also be miniature horses and alpacas available.
“The vendor application is now available online,” Truiett said. “This is a great way for home crafters and artisans to expose their talents to the thousands of people who visit downtown for the Holiday Stroll. We also have opportunities for local businesses and non-profits to provide information during the stroll.
All non-profits are able to set up one booth at no cost. Any business within the Downtown Milford Inc. footprint is also provided one free table at the stroll, even if the business is not located on Walnut Street.
“Our footprint extends out to Rehoboth Boulevard and south to Big Oyster,” Truiett said. “We also extend north to the intersection by Dairy Queen and east to Route 113. Our boundary does not extend past Route 113, however. Any business who has a question about whether they qualify for a free table can reach out to our office.”
Sponsorships are critical to providing the activities for the stroll, Truiett said.
“We offer a wide range of sponsorship levels for this event,” Truiett said. “Our levels begin at $250 and go as high as $5,000.”
The Christmas Carol sponsorship is $250, and sponsors receive one free vendor space at the event as well as their logo on all posters and flyers. Signage with their logo will be placed throughout the stroll. The $500 Snowman sponsorship receives the same benefits as the Christmas Carol, but signage will be placed at all DMI events in 2027. The Jolly Elf Sponsorship is $1,000 with sponsors receiving the same benefits as the other two as well as their company logo on the Holiday Stroll page on the DMI website.
The Candy Cane sponsorship is $2,500 with sponsors receiving their logo displayed on all posters and flyers, two vendor spaces at the event, company logo on signage at all 2027 DMi events and logo on the Holiday Stroll page on the DMI website.
“Our Jingle Bell sponsorship is our most valuable,” Truiett said. “Your logo will be displayed on all social media, print advertising, posters and flyers. Two vendor spaces at the Holiday Stroll and another 2027 event of your choosing. Your logo will appear both on the Holiday Stroll page and our main page on our website. Your company logo will be prominently displayed throughout the event.”
All sponsors will have their company name announced throughout the event.
Vendor applications can be found online. Sponsorship applications are also available online, by calling 302-839-1080 or sending an email.
