Ruth Ann Farley of Lincoln passed away September 19 at Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover. She was 81.
Ruth Ann was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Robert Yerkes Sr. an Eleanor Moore Yerkes. She graduated from. Milford High School, a member of the Class of 1962.
Ruth Ann began her career in banking at Milford Trust Company, which then became Bank of America and then PNC Bank. She retired as a loan officer after 35 years. Ruth Ann enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family as well as going to lunch with her sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bob Farley; a daughter, Traci Linsey; a sister, Laura Marvel; two brothers, Robert (Janice) Yerkes Jr.; and Bill (Janet) Yerkes; sisters-in-law Janet Yerkes and Cheryl Yerkes as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Helena Van Vorst; two brothers, John Yerkes and Theodore Yerkes; two nephews, Robbie Yerkes and Lloyd Yerkes an a great niece, Logan Marvel.
A Celebration of Life for Ruth Ann will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to either Milford Lions Club, PO Box 25 Milford DE 19963 or the ALS Association, 1919 University Avenue W, Suite 175, St. Paul MN 55014 or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD. 21741.
