Milford Public Library announced their program schedule for the first full week of July, and it promises to be an eventful week! The week starts with a pop-up sale.
“Everything must go at our $1 Pop-Up Sale!” Lea Rosell, Executive Director of the Milford Public Library said. “Meet the Friends of the Milford Public Library to shop for books, jewelry and puzzles that are all just $1 per item while supplies last. We will accept cash of any amount, credit cards with a $2 minimum purchase and checks with a $10 minimum purchase.”
Weekly Story Time is every Thursday at 10:30 AM and at 5:30 PM. Children spend an hour singing, hearing stories and doing crafts. Each week showcases a different theme. Toddler Time is planned for July 7 at 10:30 AM for both toddlers and caregivers. Each session starts with a singing circle and ends with sensory bins, musical instruments or toddler-friendly toys.
On July 7, teens can join the Heartstopper party at 4:30 PM.
“Celebrate the release of the final volume of Heartstopper with a party,” Rosell said. “Play games, enjoy snacks, make crafts and chat with fellow fans. A copy of the final volume will be given away to one lucky winner. Refreshments will be provided but we ask that parents provide us with details about any allergies children may have.”
“Paws” & Relax with Courageous Hearts is planned for Wednesday July 8 at 10:30 AM. Registration is required for this program. There is also a program for teens planned every Wednesday in July at 2 PM. Registration is encouraged but not required for the teen program.
“Come chill with us at the Milford Library this summer where we keep it low key and interactive while learning simple breathing tricks, ways to stress less and real-life tools to handle whatever life throws your way,” Rosell said. “Meet Denali and Ruby, certified therapy dogs, along with their human teammate Jeff, who have been hanging out with students in the Milford community for over seven years, helping build confidence and resilience.”
On Wednesday, July 8 at 4 PM, a teen writer workshop is planned. Refreshments will be provided at this brainstorming session, but Rosell reminds teens not attending the workshop but visiting the Teen Center, be mindful of their noise levels.
IMAZINE Afternoons are every Thursday at 1 PM where teens can drop in any time to work on submissions for the 16th volume of Delaware’s IMAZINE!, a magazine for teens aged 12 to 19 who go to school or live in Delaware. Submissions are due December 31, 2026. All materials and refreshments will be provided.
As a reminder, if you cannot attend a program you have registered to attend, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance so your spot can be offered to someone on the waitlist. Missing two programs without notice may result in a temporary suspension of registration privileges. Register for library programs by visiting their Event page online. The library is located at 11 SE Front Street in Milford.
