With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the stillbirth of our precious son and grandson, Benjamin Jacob Collick-Gatera. From the very first heartbeat, Benjamin was deeply loved and eagerly awaited. His parents, Kyla Collick and Benjamin Gatera, dreamed of the day they would finally hold him in their arms, watch him grow, and share a lifetime of memories together. Although that day never came as they had hoped, the love they have for their son will never fade.
Benjamin was welcomed into this world surrounded by the love of a family who had already treasured him long before his arrival. He leaves behind his loving parents; many devoted grandparents and great-grandparents; caring aunts and uncles; cousins; and countless family members whose hearts were forever touched by his life.
Though Benjamin’s time with us was far too brief, he will always be remembered. He leaves behind tiny footprints on our hearts and a love that will endure for a lifetime. He was loved beyond measure from his very first heartbeat and will remain forever a cherished member of our family.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Delaware Family and friends are invited to join us as we remember our sweet baby boy and surround one another with love and support.
