Richard Joseph “RJ” Shockley passed awa on June 19 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 52.
RJ was born in Milford, the son of Donna Donovan Dale and the late Richard Warner Shockley. He graduated from Milford High School in the Class of 1993. RJ worked as a contractor for many years and enjoyed fishing, bird calling, playing pool and shuffleboard as well as watching dirt track racing, camping and riding four wheelers.
The most important thing in RJ’s life were his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with them more than anything.
RJ is survived by his three daughters, Zoe Shockley, Lexi Shockley and Ashlyn Shockley; his mother, Donna May Donovan Dale; his brother, Mike Shockley and his fiancé, Amy Hollis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Warner Shockley.
A celebration of life for RJ will be held Saturday, July 18 at 4 PM at the South Bowers Fire Company Memorial Hall, 57 Scotts Corner Road, Milford. Friends may call from 3 to 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made directly to his children for their futures or to his mother to assist with the cost of services.
