In a hard-fought battle between the Buccaneers of Milford, and the Buccaneers of Caravel, Milford would fall to Caravel 65-54 in the first round of the DIAA state tournament that came down to the last minute.
Caravel led the whole game, maintaining a lead of more than 15, However, in the fourth quarter, Milford was able to cut the lead down to six. Even with a few timeouts and fouls to stop the clock, it still wouldn’t be enough for Milford as Caravel would manage to pull out the win.
Leading scorer for Milford was sophomore Mike Mullen, with 15. Senior Taj’Mir Handy led the team in rebounds with 8. Senior Jacob Dickerson was awarded with a plaque by DIAA for his performance in the classroom as well.
