Milford Police Department reminded residents that there are several snow emergency routes within the city of Milford. On those streets, vehicles must be removed when snowfall exceeds one hour. The department suggested that when snow is predicted, residents plan ahead rather than attempting to move vehicles in dangerous conditions.
The snow emergency routes in Milford include Northeast and Northwest Front Streets, Southeast Front Street, Lakeview Avenue as well as North and South Walnut Streets.
Moving vehicles allows DelDOT and the City of Milford to safely plow those streets. They also reminded everyone that if travel is required during a snowstorm, to drive slowly, allow extra time and remember that arriving safely is more important than arriving quickly.
