A Seaford man was arrested for his sixth offense DUI in Harrington following a traffic stop. Marrco Bryant, 44, is facing felony DUI and related charges.
On February 13, at approximately 11 PM, a trooper patrolling South Dupont Highway near Williamsville Road, saw a Ford F-150 driving southbound with an equipment violation. The trooper stopped the truck and spoke with the driver who showed several signs of impairment. The trooper asked the driver, identified as Bryant, to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The tests showed additional signs of impairment and Bryant was taken into custody without incident.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers found empty bottles of alcohol. A computer search revealed that Bryant’s driver’s license was suspended and that he had five prior DUI convictions.
Bryant was taken to Troop 3 where he was charged with 6th offense DUI, driving while suspended or revoked and improper taillights. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $5,101 cash bond.
