Milford Police Department responded to a residence in Simpson Crossing for a burglary in progress on December 15.
When they arrived at the location, police found Rousevel Delva inside the residence. Through interviews, police learned the 39-year-old did not live there and had forced his way inside when another occupant entered the home. While inside, Delva allegedly damaged the property inside before officers apprehended hm.
After taking him into custody, Delva had presentment at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and charged with one count of burglary in the second degree; two counts of endangering the welfare of a child; one count of offensive touching; one count of criminal mischief under $1,000.
Delva was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $12,000 secured bond. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victims in this case. He was ordered to appear at a later date in Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
