The season goal for Milford field hockey rarely changes. For the Buccaneers that goal is to make the DIAA State Tournament and go as far as they can. Milford finished the regular season with a 7-7-1 record, good enough to qualify for the tournament as the sixth seed. Milford will travel to challenge third-seeded Padua Academy this Saturday morning for the opening round contest.
While the Bucs record may not be overwhelming, their strength of schedule was key in garnering the tournament bid. After a slow start to the season, Milford has looked more cohesive of late and is hoping to do well.
“We are excited fr the opportunity to keep growing and playing as a team! We accomplished a team goal and want to play at a high level against a very talented team.” Coach Andrea McPike stated.
