Disability service provider KSI has announced the promotion of Saundra Hale to Vice President of Operations. In her new role, Hale will report directly to CEO Heath Chasanov and assume broad oversight of the nonprofit’s program operations, transportation coordination, and facility management.
Hale joined KSI in the fall of 2024 as Assistant Vice President of Operations. In that role, she was responsible for overseeing compliance with funding standards, guiding policy development, and managing staff training, documentation, and database systems. She also supervised Program Directors at KSI’s Milford Skill Development Center and the Georgetown Southern Campus.
Her impact was quickly felt. Within her first six months, Hale led a reorganization of the admissions process that resulted in a 14 percent increase in program participant numbers.
As Vice President, Hale will expand her leadership to encompass all facility-based and community-based programs. Her responsibilities will include operations, staffing, participant health and safety, food service, and the implementation of structured curricula for employment preparation and life skills training.
Hale brings a strong background in disability advocacy to the role, having previously served as Delaware’s State Long-Term Care Ombudsman and as a professional within the Division of Developmental Disabilities. That experience has shaped her commitment to protecting individuals with disabilities from abuse and neglect while safeguarding their rights in Medicaid-funded environments.
Her promotion is expected to further strengthen KSI’s ability to support the hundreds of individuals with disabilities and families it serves across Kent and Sussex Counties.
KSI is a not-for-profit organization offering vocational training, employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment, and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities in southern Delaware.
