Despite a rainy forecast, downtown Milford residents and community leaders came out in full force to celebrate the grand opening of Downtown Milford Inc.’s new office, located at 15 North Walnut Street. The event took place on Friday, June 6, as part of the beloved First Friday summer series, attracting over 50 attendees and showcasing the vibrant spirit of Milford.
The evening was filled with energy, camaraderie, and community pride, with notable attendees including Milford’s Mayor Todd Culotta, alongside city officials, local residents, and dedicated community partners from across the state. The gathering also featured members of the Downtown Milford Board and local friends who support the ongoing growth and revitalization of the downtown district.
The grand opening ceremony was beautifully facilitated by Neyda Abarran, Vice President of the Downtown Milford Board of Directors, adding a special touch of leadership to the event. Sade Truiett, the new full-time Program Coordinator for Downtown Milford Inc., expressed her excitement about joining the organization.
“I am thrilled to be joining Downtown Milford Inc. as a full-time Program Coordinator,” said Truiett “My goal is to establish and flourish existing partnerships while building new collaborations that will help our downtown grow stronger and more vibrant than ever.”
Culotta emphasized the importance of collaboration in fostering community development, delivering inspiring remarks that resonated with all in attendance. Guests enjoyed an array of delicious food and small bites from local Milford establishments, further emphasizing the event’s community-first spirit.
