An Ellendale woman, Mary O’Bier, 74, died in a vehicle crash in Milford which also involved. Sussex County EMS Chevrolet Suburban. The EMS vehicle was responding to a call as it approached Mulberry Street traveling westbound.
The initial investigation indicated that O’Bier, driving a Ford Bronco, proceeded past the stop sign into the path of the EMS vehicle. The front of the EMS Suburban struck the passenger side of the Bronco, causing it to rotate clockwise into a tree.
O’Bier was taken to an area hospital where she later died. The 38-year-old female driver of the EMS vehicle was taken to an area hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
