Comic books came to life at the Milford Community Parade, held Wednesday, October 21 in downtown Milford. Marching bands, emergency vehicles, horses and floats filled with superheroes and even a few founding fathers paraded down Walnut Street.
“Thank you to our wonderful community for coming out to support all of the participants that helped make this year’s parade so special,” the City of Milford posted on social media. “We’re also grateful to everyone who worked behind the scenes to bring this event to life. Your time, effort and dedication helped make it a memorable evening for Milford.”
Parade watchers began setting up chairs early in the morning on Wednesday to stake their claim for the best viewing area. The parade began at Seabury Avenue and traveled down Walnut Street to Milford High School with thousands lining the street, cheering for floats, bands and marchers.
“Great time at the Milford Community Parade tonight,” Mayor Todd Culotta, who rode in a convertible with his two sons, said. “It was amazing to see so many people.
Parade winners have not yet been announced but will be published once they are released.
