Meals on Wheels Delaware is hosting its fourth annual Hats and Heels event at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort. The event is planned for Saturday, September 19 from 6 to 9 PM.
“Meals on Wheels programs do more than deliver nutritious meals,” Devona E.G. Williams, Ph.D., Honorary Chair, said. “They deliver connection, dignity and peace of mind to seniors across our state, By helping older adults live safely, independently and with the support they deserve, this work strengthens families and communities throughout Delaware. I am proud to stand with Meals on Wheels Delaware and support an event that celebrates life-changing impact.”
Guests will participate in a fun evening of delicious and savory bites from local restaurants as they enjoy some of their favorite cocktails, spirits, and more! Bally’s will also be supplying some of their food selections.
“Guests are encouraged to show off their favorite Fedora, Bonnet, Chapeau, or ten-gallon cowboy hat and showcase their stylish shoes and heels,” Williams said. “The most exceptional outfits will have a chance at prizes. As guests enjoy music by DJ Smooth and great food, there will be a bucket auction to bid on some fantastic items. There is also a raffle featuring an exclusive 4-digit black and white license plate.
Meals on Wheels Delaware is excited to partner with Breakthru Beverage, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen & Winery, Paul Cullen Wines, Harvest Ridge Winery, Hearth Bar & Grille, Jamaican Farm Mom, Kee’s Cookies and Cupcakes, Standard Distributing and Texas Roadhouse.
In addition to food, cocktails and music, there will be a chic, brief, high-energy fashion show curated by acclaimed designer Dell Scott Designs, in collaboration with talented students from Delaware State University Textiles and Fabric Design Program. Fashions are provided by Chapeaux by Traci, Dell Scott Collection, Draped Magazine, Morgan’s Women’s Boutique and Zuha Trend Men’s Fashion.
Tickets to the event are $65 per person and can be purchased online.
