The family of Gavin Webb announced with heavy hearts that he had tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on July 31.
“Gavin was a son, brother, a boyfriend, a friend and a young man who had so much life still ahead of him,” a social media post read. “He was deeply loved by his mom, Rebecca, his brother, Graham, his girlfriend, Hannah and so many family members and friends whose lives will forever be changed by his loss.”
A GoFundMe was created to help the family with memorial expenses, time away from work and the unexpected financial responsibilities that come with losing a loved one so suddenly. The hope is that the funds will give the family the space to grieve, be together and honor Gavin without having to carry the additional stress of finances during an already difficult time.
“Those who knew Gavin knew the things that brought him happiness,” the post read. “He had a love for motorcycles and gardening, and these were just a small part of what made Gavin who he was. At only 20 years old, he should have had so many more years to enjoy the things he loved, make memories with the people closest to him, and experience everything his future had waiting for him.”
A Celebration of Life is planned on August 27 from 6 to 9 PM at EasySpeak on Milford-Harrington Highway. Gavin’s mother, Rebecca, has worked at EasySpeak for several years.
“If you are able to donate, any amount will make a difference,” the fundraiser stated. “If donating isn’t possible, simply sharing Gavin’s story and this fundraiser can help more than you know. Please keep Rebecca, Graham, Hannah and all of Gavin’s family and friends in your thoughts as they navigate a loss that no words can truly describe. Gavin was only 20 years old, but the love he gave and the memories he created will continue far beyond the years he was given. Rest peacefully, Gavin.”
The family expressed heartfelt thanks for every donation, share, message and act of kindness shown to them.
