Delaware State Police identified Elizabeth Draper, 27, of Frederica, as the victim in a one-vehicle crash on Thursday, March 12.
According to police, a Nissan Pathfinder, traveling eastbound on Carpenter’s Bridge Road east of Jackson Ditch Road failed to negotiate a slight curve and ran of the north side of the roadway around 7 PM. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck a tree.
Draper was taken to an area hospital where she died. The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while the scene was investigated. The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to contact the Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit by calling Master Corporal J. Lane at 302-698-8457.
